Story Content Tracker

The College of Arts and Sciences produces A LOT of stories, and it can be difficult to keep track of them all for purposes of reuse, themed story round-ups, or trending social media tags. I created the Story Content Tracker as a way to collect stories we’re likely to reuse, filter them by a wide range of categories, and make it easy for other staff members to quickly see how a story could fit into what they’re working on.

Categories include everything from the department a story covers, to strategic impact areas like research or student experience, to diversity-focused topics like Pride or Black History Month. Filters on each column allow for quick answers to questions like “which college division could use more coverage?” as well as specific deep dives like “do we have a story from Mathematics about a graduate student who identifies as disabled?”

Would you like to learn more about pulling together a similar tracker for your own department?
